Book Covers
This project was made as a comparison of two short stories, DC Showcase: Death and Leaf by Niggle. Both are about artists nearing the end of their lives. The two men want to create masterpieces, and are having trouble putting onto paper what they can see in their minds. Life keeps getting in the way of these artists, and death eventually catches up with them. In Leaf by Niggle the artist realizes that nothing he could have made on earth can compare with what he found in heaven. In DC Showcase: Death the artist is desperate to leave behind a masterpiece because he has no hope of a future after death. The stories are strikingly similar aside from their different messages about life and death. This is why I made these covers for them, so others can see that they are the same story from different worldviews.
